ABSTRACT
The notion of the "costs connected with current production of coal" as defined in the regulation of the European Union are described in the paper. It is compared with "the cost of sold coal" - the notion used in Polish economic analyses of coal mining. Both notions are defined and the elements that differ them are pointed out. The papers proposes the way of adaptation the Polish system of economic and statistical data gathering that allow for evaluation the costs connected with current production according to the European standards without substantial changes in the accountant and informatics systems.

W niniejszym artykule omówiono pojęcie kosztów bieżącej produkcji węgla w rozumieniu rozporządzeń Unii Europejskiej. Porównano je ze stosowanym w Polsce, w analizach ekonomicznych wyników górnictwa, pojęciem kosztów własnych sprzedanego węgla. Zdefiniowano oba pojęcia oraz wskazano elementy je różniące. Zaproponowano sposoby dostosowania zbierania danych statystycznych o wynikach górnictwa w taki sposób, by w sposób możliwie najprostszy i bez dramatycznych zmian w systemach księgowych i informatycznych możliwe było określenie bieżących kosztów produkcji węgla zgodnie ze standardami unijnymi.
