Main world steam coal exporters to the European market - some aspects of supply and prices

ABSTRACT
Paper presents the changes in steam coal production and consumption in the European Union countries in recent years as well as in coal import origin. The changes are shown against the background of world market data. Market structure and mechanisms of price formation for steam coal are described. Description of main coal exporters to the EU market are given together with analyses of coal prices.

Główni światowi eksporterzy węgla energetycznego na rynek europejski - wybrane aspekty podaży i cen

Prezentowany artykuł ma na celu przedstawienie zaistniałych w ostatnich latach zmian w produkcji i zużyciu węgla energetycznego w krajach Unii Europejskiej, a także w strukturze jego importu. Zmiany te pokazano na tle danych światowych. Przedstawiono strukturę rynku węgla energetycznego oraz mechanizm tworzenia jego rynkowych cen. Scharakteryzowano głównych eksporterów węgla na rynki Unii Europejskiej i poddano analizie ceny oferowanych przez nich węgli.
